From Potty Training to Weight Training is a new blog which chronicles my journey from post-pregnancy to Figure (bodybuilding) competition. One of the struggles I've mentioned there is getting bored with the same old routines. As a runner who is new venturing into bodybuilding, I've tried many forms of exercise but never Pilates. So when receiving Daisy Fuentes Pilates, the first of it's kind for Wii, I was particularly interested in learning about this new genre of fitness for me. It's appeal is obvious from the start...with soothing music and scenes that make you want to immediately book a trip to some exotic location, the core-strengthening activities range from beginner to advanced with various programs such as single exercises to workout sets. The start screen gives users the option to tour the resort or head directly to the workout center. You can also head to Daisy's office for tips or to change her outfit (neat) or the Guest Hut to track your progress. With the ability to choose both the exercises such as the bicycle or leg circle and locations like the pool or spa, there is an incredible about of customization. On the flip side, there are a limited number of exercises which works for me, a casual user who likes to vary my routines but may not work for a more serious pilates fan. Overall, if you're looking for some variety, inner peace and feel like you don't vacation enough as you should, Daisy Fuentes Pilates is a great addition to your Wii fitness collection.
Smart Tips: Daisy Fuentes Pilates gives real-time feedback and healthy diet tips in English and Spanish and can be used with the Wii Remote and the optional Wii Balance Board too.
