In the world of baby/kid apparel, it's hard to stand out. The advent of sites such as Cafe Press have made tees with cute sayings easy to find (though still often adorable). Luckily, I have discovered for my loyal CBK readers truly unique clothing for your wee ones called Hispter Hugs. Create by a mom, this line for babies, kids and moms looks like none other. Quality clothing with super cute appliques, Hispter Hugs is worthy of a "Where'd you get that?" from other moms. The first week I packed outfits from babysparewear into my diaper bag, I used the one for my 2 month old son...twice. No kidding. It was a miracle the outfit was washed and back into the cute, compact bag it came with when the very next day I needed it once again. I've known for a while that soft sole leather shoes are best for baby. But some of the shoes on the market just don't look like shoes. It's not easy to find ones that are good for kids feet, and cute, and stylish...but I found them! My Favorite Nursing Bra

I received a Bravado nursing bra in a "nursing basket" given to me by a friend for my baby shower. I had no idea at the time it would be my favorite nursing bra and favorite "around the house" bra even when I wasn't nursing. For me to put a bra on my Chrismtas list, as I did this year since one just wasn't enough, it must be good! (Side Note: Hubby bought one for me as a gift. It's white with black polka dots...don't wear this bra with a light colored shirt.) Though I haven't tried the others, Bravado also carries bras for out and about as well.

Tips for Making Hair Bows

Help with Hair Bows

In the past year I've learned a bit about the world of baby and toddler girls' hair. Here are some tips I've collected so far:

Baby- To make your own headband, buy stretchy lace at Joanne Fabric, measure on baby's head for size and sew together. Sew a small loop around the top where you can clip and change bows.

Toddler- Making your own bows is easier and cheaper; this is from someone who didn't own a needle and thread or a glue gun! I make simple bows at a fraction of the cost but still buy more elaborate ones. You can make bows on barrettes to clip onto headband or buy clips when baby grows hair. The only place I've found clips is at Sally Beauty Supply.

These are hands down the cutest socks on the market. I'm amazed they haven't seen them before when people ask "Are those shoes?" or exclaim "How cute!" They should be on every baby and toddler because they are so cute.
